Rising Through the Ranks: Hamza El Kholy’s Journey in Squash

At just 16, Hamza El Kholy is already making a name for himself in Egypt’s competitive squash scene. Representing Alexandria Sporting Club, Hamza has shown remarkable progress through the junior divisions — fueled by passion, discipline, and a relentless drive to improve.

 

Hamza began playing squash at a young age and quickly fell in love with the sport’s intensity and precision. Over the years, that dedication has translated into consistent national success. His achievements so far include reaching No. 2 in Egypt (U11), No. 3 (U13), and No. 5 (U15). Currently ranked No. 13 in the U17 category, Hamza’s sights are already set on breaking back into the top 5.

His talent has also earned him spots on international stages — including a strong performance at the U.S. Open, and a third-place finish at the Arab International Tournament, where he gained valuable experience competing against top regional players.

As Hamza continues to train and compete, his goals are clear: to push his limits, perform at the highest level, and represent his sponsors and supporters with professionalism and pride.
